Using the traditional technique of lost-wax casting, the Linked series continues the exploration of small sculptures with tactile appeal. These sculptures are intended to be handled; lifted by one of the links or through the finger hole. Handling enables people to experience the weight of the sculpture while enhancing the patina of the bronze over time. The artist’s practice focuses on purposeful interaction and connection, exploring the intricacies of wax sculpting while creating beautiful handmade objects. The Linked series embodies this focus; the links are permanently connected to one another and designed to encourage interaction.
