BIO
Margaret Block is an emerging bronze sculptor born in Pennsylvania, residing and working in Chicago, Illinois. She has been handcrafting objects for over 30 years; objects created in mediums as diverse as textiles, ceramics, and bronze. As part of her exploration and dedication to the preservation of craft, the artist found a passion for crafting works in bronze using the lost-wax casting technique. Her work, primarily small bronze sculptures and objects, is informed by her personal collections of textiles, ceramics, and found objects.
