The Arrested Decay series is created from objects found in nature. These sculptures are designed to mimic the object’s state of decay at a specific moment in time. Driftwood, found on numerous beaches in the Midwestern and Northeastern United States and Portugal, is replicated in wax and cast in bronze. While small spheres are hand carved with the intention of replicating the erosion of marble over time. These objects, mementos of places I have visited, can be displayed individually or in multiples.
